Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Join AL DAHRA AGRICULTURAL as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer within the Farming Division at our Toshka location. This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of electrical systems critical to our agricultural operations.

Role Overview

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing electrical equipment and systems used across our farming operations. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure uninterrupted functionality of electrical installations that support productivity and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical systems and equipment across the agricultural project
• Troubleshoot electrical faults related to motors, pumps, generators, MCCs, VFDs, transformers, and control panels
• Ensure reliable operation of irrigation systems, pivots, and water pumping stations
• Monitor electrical equipment performance and minimize downtime
• Support maintenance of power distribution systems including MV/LV networks
• Assist in operation and maintenance of solar power systems if applicable
• Inspect electrical installations and ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
• Coordinate with technicians, supervisors, and contractors during maintenance activities
• Prepare maintenance reports, breakdown analysis, and spare parts requirements
• Respond quickly to emergency electrical breakdowns and operational issues
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and energy efficiency

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
• 2–5 years of experience in electrical maintenance
• Experience in agricultural, irrigation, industrial, utilities, or infrastructure projects is preferred
• Good knowledge of motors, generators, transformers, VFDs, MCCs, and control panels
• Familiarity with irrigation systems and pumping stations is an advantage
• Basic knowledge of PLC and automation systems is preferred
• Valid driving license
