Job Purpose
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HSE Manager to join our Farming Division at AL DAHRA AGRICULTURAL. This key role is responsible for leading and enhancing Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) practices across our farming operations, ensuring full compliance with legal and corporate requirements, minimizing operational risks, and promoting a strong culture of safety, sustainability, and environmental responsibility.
As part of the local management team, you will develop, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive HSE systems aligned with both corporate objectives and international standards. Your leadership will ensure a safe working environment for employees, contractors, and visitors while supporting sustainable farming practices and protecting the environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve HSE policies, procedures, and programs across all farming operations.
- Ensure full compliance with local regulations and international standards, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, site inspections, and safety audits to identify hazards and implement effective mitigation measures.
- Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
- Monitor environmental impact and drive sustainability initiatives, including waste management, energy efficiency, and resource conservation.
- Deliver HSE training, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for employees, contractors, and site teams.
- Coordinate and oversee emergency preparedness plans, drills, and response procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, HR, and external regulatory authorities) to ensure integrated HSE strategies.
- Supervise HSE officers and site safety teams where applicable.
- Prepare, analyze, and present HSE performance reports, KPIs, and improvement plans to senior management.
- Champion a proactive safety culture by promoting engagement, communication, and continuous improvement across all levels.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Agriculture, or a related field.
- NEBOSH and/or IOSH certification is required.
- ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Lead/Internal Auditor certification is preferred.
- Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Management, or MBA is an advantage.
Experience
- 8–12 years of progressive experience in HSE roles.
- Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or managerial position.
- Strong experience in agribusiness, agriculture, manufacturing, industrial, or multinational environments.
- Proven track record in managing site-based HSE operations and compliance activities.
- Experience in multi-site operations is highly preferred.
