Job Title: Operation Senior Director, North Africa 

Location: Al Dahra Egypt

 

Position Summary:

The Operation Senior Director  is a critical executive leadership role responsible for the end-to-end operational excellence and strategic growth of the organization. Reporting directly to the MD, North Africa ,He will translate corporate strategy into actionable operational plans, driving sustainable growth, yield optimization, and profitability. This role requires a seasoned leader with full P&L ownership, deep MNC experience, and a proven track record in large-scale agricultural operations and R&D-led transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Operations & Large-Scale Management:

Operational Roadmap: Design and implement business strategies, plans, and procedures to ensure scalability across all NA sites (Egypt, Morocco and etc.)

MNC Alignment: Ensure local operations meet global corporate standards for efficiency, safety, and quality.

Infrastructure Growth: Oversee large scale capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects and facility expansions from inception to full operation.

  1. Full P&L Ownership & Financial Performance:

Budget Accountability: Manage the total operational budget, ensuring cost optimization and aggressive waste reduction.

Revenue Optimization: Identify and implement efficiencies to improve the bottom line and maximize ROI on all operational assets.

Performance Reporting: Lead the delivery of comprehensive performance reports (EBIT/ROI) to the Board and MD.

  1. Agronomy, Precision Farm Management and Yield Excellence:

Yield Performance & Benchmarking: Establish KPIs for crop yields; benchmark internal performance against international standards to ensure best-in-class output.

Planting Efficiency: Oversee the implementation of precision agriculture (GPS-guided planting, automated irrigation, and soil health monitoring) to maximize land use.

Harvest & Post-Harvest Logistics: Synchronize harvest cycles with supply chain requirements to minimize spoilage and maximize quality and yield.

  1. R&D, Innovation, and Expansion Projects:

Leading R&D Strategy: Direct the R&D department to explore new crop varieties, pest-resistant strains, and innovative farming techniques

Project Leadership: Lead "Greenfield" and "Brownfield" expansion projects, managing land acquisition, feasibility, and technical setup.

Agri-Tech Adoption: Evaluate CROPWISE and base station-platform/application and lead the adoption of AI-driven yield forecasting, drone monitoring, and robotic harvesting.

  1. 5. Leadership & Organizational Transformation:

Talent Mapping: Build and mentor a high-performing management team to ensure leadership continuity.

Cultural Alignment: Lead the transformation towards a "new identity" and a high-performance, safety-first and SEED culture.

Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with joint-venture partners,

government bodies, and global vendors.

 

Qualifications and experience:

Education: MBA or master’s in operations management/Agricultural Science from a top-tier institution or equivalent  .

MNC Pedigree: Minimum 15+ years of experience, with at least 5 years in a C-suite or Senior VP role within a Multi-National Corporation.

Industry Expertise: Extensive background in Agribusiness or Large-Scale Food Production is mandatory.

Scope: Proven experience managing large-scale business units with full P&L responsibility.

Technical & Professional Tools

 ERP & Farm Management: Mastery of SAP/Oracle and advanced Farm Management Software (FMS).

Data Analytics: Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI/Tableau) for data-led decision-making.

Methodologies: Mastery of Lean Six Sigma, Agile, or equivalent operational excellence frameworks.
